Meet Mac

Helping women and performers sound like themselves. Clear, connected, and powerful.
MaryAnne Mac McCormack — NIDA trained voice coach Melbourne

I believe your voice is more than sound.

It’s how people know you, how you connect, and how you move through the world.

I’m MaryAnne “Mac” McCormack, a NIDA graduate, performer, and voice coach with over 20 years’ experience helping people find a voice that feels like home.

Most people just call me Mac.

I’ve performed lead roles on some of the world’s most iconic stages, from Lincoln Center in New York to the Royal Albert Hall in London and Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.
I’ve also been featured in national media as a voice and communication expert.

But here’s the truth, even with all that experience, I know what it feels like to struggle to speak as yourself.

On stage, I could express emotion and depth with ease.

Off stage, without the safety of a role or a script, I found it harder to bring that same presence as me.

When I finally found a voice that felt like mine, grounded, real, and strong, everything shifted.

I realised the voice I’d trained for years was only part of the story. What mattered more was how I felt when I spoke, connected, confident, and at ease.

That shift changed not just how I sounded, but how I lived.

I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, heard, and at home in their own voice — whether that’s in a boardroom, on a stage, or in a new chapter of life.

My work blends technical skill and emotional intelligence so you can:

I’ve seen again and again that when someone speaks from their true voice, everything aligns, their presence, their power, their peace.

That’s what I want for you.

Mac in a snapshot

I’m not about

Trying to sound like someone else.

Generic “speaker training” that forces you into a mould.

Performing confidence instead of feeling it.

You’ll find me

Coaching women, leaders, and performers.

Performing live with The MAC Project™ Band.

Writing stories that move people.

Always learning — refining my craft to bring more to yours.

What grounds me

Music and movement (often both at once).

Walks by the bay.

Chai, sunshine, and a notebook in hand.

Conversations that shift something real.

WHEN YOU FIND YOUR VOICE

you find your way back to yourself

Becoming

The Early Chapters

Where it began. Voice, story, and stage.

Learning how to move people, not just speak to them.

The spotlight taught me presence. The silence taught me depth.

Each performance, another lesson in connection.

And eventually, the voice behind it all, mine.
